Kumba II Council Maintains Progress In PIB Projects ExecutionThe Kumba II Subdivisional Council has continued to maintain its progress in the execution of projects of the Public Investment Budget, PIB.This was revealed on Wednesday, October 22, in Kumba I Subdivisional Council hall, during the third quarter of the Divisional Participatory Follow-up Committee Meeting for the Physical Execution of Public Investment Budget, PIB, in Meme for 2025. The meeting was chaired by its Vice President, Francisca Zemenjuoh, sitting in for the President, Hon Lawson Tabot Bakia, who was unavoidably absent.It also had in attendance the Head of Archives and Documentation at the Divisional Office for Meme in kumba, Diobe Valdes, representing the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, for Meme Division, Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong; Divisional Delegate of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, MINEPA, for Meme, Stephanie Tankeu; mayors, heads of de-concentrated services, contractors, traditional rulers and a cross-section of the population of Meme Division. Welcoming the participants, the vice president requested for a frank and collaborative deliberation. According to the statistics communicated by the Divisional Delegate of MINEPAT, for Meme, Kumba II Subdivisional Council scored 62.33 percent, a progress from 40.41 percent during the second quarter meeting last July.It currently holds the second position in execution in Meme Division.The official chart shows kumba III Subdivisional Council tops with 81.89 percent, konye Council is third with 52.25 percent, kumba I Subdivisional Council follows with 45.11 percent, Mbonge Council has 38.55 percent, Kumba City Council 32.33 percent, and Administration on 27.38 percent.It was noted last year, Mbonge Council was on top of the chart this same period.Both kumba III Subdivisional Council and kumba II Subdivisional Council were praised for the great strides made.Mbonge Council was encouraged to pick up in the execution of its allocated 08 projects. Lauding the stakeholders in their efforts in keeping to foster progress and development in their respective municipalities, the vice president called on councils that are lagging behind to put in more energy to develop their communities.The meeting witnessed the presentation of the status (level) of implementation of the recommendation of the last session.The stakeholders took time to make a review of 2023 and 2024 uncompleted and abandoned projects, followed by discussion, observations, difficulties encountered, and recommendations. Closing the meeting after the presentations and deliberations, Zemenjuoh urged the various stakeholders to personalised projects to yield better results and underscored the efforts of the government in putting in much.This, she said, must be defended by the various authorities in executing the projects effectively.
