Kumba:Police Officers Receive New Epaulettes To Higher Ranks

Some twenty-nine police officers in Kumba have received new epaulettes promoting them to higher ranks.

The epaulettes were affixed on their shoulders during a ceremony that held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the esplanade of the kumba City Grandstand.

The event was presided over by the Divisional Officer, DO, of Kumba I Subdivision, Ali Anogu, representing the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, for Meme Division, Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong, who was unavoidably absent.

This was in the presence of the Kumba Central Police Commissioner, Mbode Armand Charles, among other administrative authorities, defence and security forces.

The police officers were recently promoted by the Head of State, President of The Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya.

The highest-ranking epaulette was that of Third grade Assistant Superintendent, ASP, of Police, affixed on the Head of Special Branch of the Second District Police Station in Fiango, Nwanja Walter.

Two officers were decorated with the rank of Second grade Assistant Superintendent, ASP, of Police, 12 officers received the rank of Second grade Inspector of Police, 12 officers were decorated as Senior Police Constables, and one officer to the rank of Second grade Police Constable.

The ceremony, void of speeches, was conducted in strict military style.

The recipients were later offered bouquet of flowers by family members, friends, and well-wishers, while group photos were taken to immortalise the event.

A march past by police officers concluded the ceremony at the municipal grandstand.
