Meme:Chiefs Renew Exco, Pick Mboke Godlive As President

Traditional rulers in Meme Division under the banner of the Meme Chiefs’ Conference, MECCO, have elected a new executive to manage the affairs of the body.

The new executive was voted on Friday, November 28, 2025, during an Elective General Assembly of MECCO that held in the kumba City Council hall.

It was attended by the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, for Meme Division represented by his Second Assistant, Hermia Njonje.

During the conclave, the traditional rulers elected His Majesty Chief Mboke Godlive Ntua of Kotto Barombi as the new president of MECCO.
The retired Senior Administrative Officer has as Vice President, His Majesty Chief Akama Jacob of Kang Barombi.

For the other positions, the Secretary General is His Majesty Chief Mofa Divine Diboto; Vice Secretary General, His Majesty Chief Sakwe Eric Dosa; Financial Secretary, His Majesty Chief Njume John Mukete; Treasurer, Hon Chief Atinda Martin Mboni; Public Relations Officer, His Majesty Chief Ngoh Richard Esapa; Social Secretary, His Majesty Chief Aduma Paul; Auditor No.1, His Majesty Chief Kombe Lawrence; Auditor No.2; His Majesty Chief Itoe Bonley; and, Protocol Officer, His Majesty Chief Itoe Malle.

The new president takes over from His Majesty Chief Kenneth Elondo Mukete of Bai Sombe, Balong tribe, for a two year mandate.
The presidency rotates among the seven tribes of Meme Division to include the Bafaw, Balong, Ekombe, Mbonge, Barombi, Bakundu, and Bomboko.
The new president and vice are of the Barombi, as it is the mandate of the tribe.

After the installation of the executive by the representative of the SDO for Meme Division, the newly elected president in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to his peers for the confidence bestowed on him and his team.

He promised to promote the culture of Meme Division, collaborate with the chiefs to ameliorate living standards, and revamp the educational system in rural areas affected by the crisis so as to fulfill the Head of State’s vision of dialogue.

The election of His Majesty Chief Mboke Godlive Ntua serves as a beacon of hope at a time when elite want to be appointed, roads to be rehabilitated, and the voice of the population needs to be heard towards improving the well-being of the various communities.
