Councillors of Ekondo Titi Council in Ndian Division have adopted the sum of Nine hundred and sixty nine million ( 969,000,000) FCFA, as the budget of the council for the 2026 financial year.
The new budget witnessed a 2 percent increase as compared to that of 2025.
The amount was adopted during the second ordinary session of the council for 2025 devoted to the examination and adoption of the 2026 budget of the Ekondo Titi Council.
The session, held in the conference hall of the council, was chaired by the Mayor of Ekondo Titi Council, Utam Margaret Ndiba, in the presence of the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO, for Ndian Division, Gilbert Guilba Baldena, supervisory authority of councils in the Division.
Focus on the new budget will be on infrastructural development such as the supply of potable water, installation of solar panels, and rehabilitation of earth roads.
The council will also support income-generating activities and persons with physical disabilities.
